The imminent end of the week with few

In the week before last, visitors might be a little scared when they visit us at the VON ERLENBACH KUNSTSCHULE, because our classroom area looks like it’s orphaned. But so it is when a larger part of the group is invited for the exams to apply for a place to study. So we are in a good mood despite the small number of participants this week, as the “absentees” will be rewarded for their months of work and will hopefully do a good job at the exams.

Visit from students of UdK, Karlsruhe and Potsdam

At the last Friday seminar jthree students from several academies came for a visit to the VON ERLENBACH KUNSTSCHULE. In addition, we were visited by the mother of a student who studied graphic design at Udk many years ago and who brought along her portfolio from back then. It was a very exciting story and we had a lot of fun and much to discuss. It has once again been confirmed that the different academies have very different profiles, so it is also clear why participants succeed at one academy with his applications where as at another academy they are not even admitted to the exam.

Why not Performance

Roland Walter is a performer, photographer and every now and then an act model in the aktinstitut of the VON ERLENBACH KUNSTSCHULE. Above all, he is spasticly disabled since birth and relies on outside help throughout the day. Nevertheless, this is precisely the strength from which he draws and collaborates artistically in ever new works with dancers. In recent days, the play Why not was performed in the Sophiensäle, in which Roland convinced together with the dancer Ahmed Sousa. A successful evening.

Short before ending

Now it is only two and a half weeks until the end of the semester sessions 2017/2018. Somehow a bit of nostalgia begins to creep into the daily work. And this is where all are just working hard, because the applications are fully in progress. After the kick-off at the KHB Weissensee, this year only with one application, we now see some participants from Monday on in Leipzig in the exam. Further more we certainly also see some participants in the exam at the Burg Giebichenstein.
Of course we keep our fingers crossed for everyone!
This year we also have more applications in Dusseldorf, Karlsruhe, Munich and Vienna. However, we will only get to know the results of the exams when the semester has already end.

Everything is grooving

With the beginning of our spring semester for many of our participants begins the most pleasant season. We let the young person decide to work on tasks or to work independently. Most people opt for independent work and can use the whole day for their own interests with much joy and commitment. Since many basics have been developed in the last few months, the implementation of their own ideas is now much more concrete and faster. And this creates good mood.
